1. Intellectual Property Protection
Skill-Forge ("Skill-Forge") respects the intellectual property rights of software developers, educational authors, and organizations. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512, "DMCA"), we respond promptly to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement.
2. Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that material hosted on Skill-Forge (such as a shared note, user project solution, or code snippet) infringes your copyright, please send a written notification to our Designated Copyright Agent containing:
- A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material on Skill-Forge that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient URL specificity for us to locate it.
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
3. Counter-Notification Procedure
If material you posted was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe this was the result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location prior to removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and consent to local federal court jurisdiction.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
Skill-Forge maintains a strict repeat infringer policy. Accounts found to repeatedly infringe copyright rights of others will have their publishing permissions revoked and accounts terminated.
